The faces and personal trainers behind Return Fitness.

We are a young, energetic couple, working to be our best selves holistically. We want to take an active stance against the complexity of the current medical system and fitness industries. As personal trainers, our hope is to offer each person that we work with an opportunity to redirect energy to create safety, calm, and strength within their bodies. Our primary goal is to be a part of this trend we see toward whole, integrated, simple, and effective health & fitness practices - woven into our day-to-day lives.

Dr. Kelsey Crispeno, PT, DPT, CSCS

I am a physical therapist, personal trainer, movement enthusiast & advocate. In the physical therapy clinic, I specialize in chronic pain management and pelvic health. In addition to my work with my incredible personal training clients, I train youth athletes and sports teams, too! I love to partner with folks struggling to love themselves in our grinding, appearance-minded society of today. My hope and sincerest wish through my work is that everyone will develop the freedom to be and to explore through deep connection with themselves and with others. My mom sent me a note she read on a license plate one day that read: ‘If it’s physical, it’s therapy.’ I love it (with some nuance, of course). And, I’d love to partner with you in whatever way matches where you’re at in your health story.

Things I’m loving right now: play (yes, you read that right!), watching Kraken hockey and The Arsenal with my partner, Sean, saunas & cold plunges, sunset or sunrise walks, & quality time with my fam & friends.

For as long as I can remember I have been passionate about health and fitness. I have found fitness incredibly rewarding and equally interesting in my own health journey. My goal through fitness is to get as many people feeling good about themselves and comfortable and strong in their own bodies. I firmly believe that anybody can reap the rewards that movement has to offer with proper education and guidance. Using my 7+ years of experience in the industry, + educational background and certifications, I help others achieve results and enhance movement patterns through a mix of corrective exercise protocols as well as proper strength and conditioning programming. I’m learning to tap into my innate curiosity & adventurous spirit, and look forward to bringing this energy into my time with each of my clients. I love getting to know new people, and would l love to meet you and hear your story!

Things I’m loving right now: watching Arsenal dominate the Premier League, my new personal fitness protocol, pour-over coffee, this new business venture with my partner, Kels, sauna & cold plunges.

“Like many people, COVID really derailed my health goals and aspirations over the last year. I had gotten to a point in February 2021 where I felt I needed to get moving again and after doing some research I decided to go the personal training route--I connected with Sean for my fitness pursuits. The first session with Coach Sean was a great introduction to personal training. Looking back now, the first session really set a great foundation of what I could expect as I moved forward working with Coach Sean.

Coach Sean spent most of the first session assessing my then-current levels of general mobility and fitness, documenting baselines and really understanding what I specifically was hoping to get out of personal training. My background prior to this was mostly with group fitness classes, and the thought of personal training was a little intimidating but throughout my first session, Coach Sean's professionalism, knowledge, and willingness to share that knowledge made me feel completely at ease. In the weeks since my first few sessions I have come to appreciate how data driven Coach Sean is, documenting my progress and using that information as he has programmed my training moving forward.

Coach Sean has used the data gathered to challenge me in the best ways--he knows when I need to be pushed and pushes me, but never to the point where I've felt overwhelmed or like I might injure myself. Coach Sean is a stickler when it comes to form on each movement and makes sure I don't shortchange or cheat myself. Coach Sean also has a keen eye for noticing things to train that aren't readily apparent--for me that is my balance. He always makes sure we incorporate something that challenges me in that aspect.

After my sessions with Coach Sean, I always feel better than when I walked in and always leave feeling like I accomplished something difficult. I am someone who likes to understand the 'why's' behind the things I am doing and Coach Sean has always been willing to breakdown the science behind any movement explaining what muscle I am working and why we are working that. I've never felt like I've asked a dumb question and Coach Sean always explains things where I can understand what we are doing.

With Coach Sean's training, encouragement, and support I have seen measurable changes in my body composition and overall fitness levels. For maybe the first time ever, I feel like my fitness goals are attainable. Coach Sean keeps me accountable both in and out of the gym, checking in regularly on my overall diet as well as making sure that I am still moving on days that we aren't training.
